blame it on the jetlag

I'm so behind my posts and I blame it on the jetlag (I plan to catch up as soon as I'm over it). It usually just takes me a day or two to get over it but for some reason, this trip has all of our body clocks screwed up like no other. It's not just me, but the entire family. We find ourselves sound asleep as early as 9pm and by 3am, lo and behold, we are all up. That happened like clockwork for the past week and the half since we got back. Even Gabby hasn't gotten his regular sleeping pattern yet.

Fortunately, I'm slowly getting out of it and I'm finding normalcy returning little by little. At least now I find myself sleeping close to midnight already. Though I still wake up at around 3am, I'm now able to force myself to go back to sleep and get up just in time for work by 6am. Sleeping in late on weekends is a still a work in progress. I'm up as early as 7-8am!

What sucks though is when I'm finally able to get my old sleeping pattern back on track, I get this stubborn stiff neck. Ugh. It started when I woke up on Friday (it was really bad that moving my head was just pure torture!). It was been 3 days now and the right side of my neck up to my shoulders still hurt, though not as bad as when it first started. But it makes sleeping really hard and finding a comfortable position sitting up is quite an effort as well. I really hope the pain goes away when I wake up tomorrow.

We're off to the condo in a bit and hopefully a good foot spa will take my mind of this @#!%* stiff neck. It would also be nice to go to the mall (I'm on a self-imposed shopping ban after all the over-spending I did in the US!) and I'll try to stick to just window-shopping. Hehehe.

Just a few more hours left of the weekend...better make the most out of it!
