Apple may kill off iPod Classic

AppleInsider discovered that the link to iPod Click Wheel Games no longer appears on the App Store drop-down menu in iTunes. This maybe a sign that Apple will discontinue the Classic. It was long rumored that the iPod Classic would die off so this is not surprising.

Google buys Motorola Mobility to take on Apple

Google buys Motorola Mobility for $12.5 billion cash deal on Monday. The deal could help Google take on Apple and it's iOS devices in the mobile spectrum. Google's Android OS along with Motorola's various handsets and Tablet will help them provide a better product. Keep in mind Google will continue to keep Android open to license for other companies.

Free Tethering Customers It’s Time to Pay Up AT&T is after you

AT&T is on a roll first by capping DSL and now this. AT&T wants customers to pay up for Free Tethering. I predict AT&T will have record profits since they continued to nickle and dime customers.

At&t DSL cap coming May 2 and consumers are pissed

At&t plans to cap customers unlimited internet service to 150GB or 250GB for Uverse members. At&t continues to nickle and dime it's customers to death. And while they claim 2% of customers will be affected, how long before more people will run over the cap due to increasing high bandwidth streaming content like Netflix, Hulu Plus, Gaming, and Youtube. What At&t won't due is lower it's rates, provide the speed that they promise, or provide better service.

The Engadget fallout

Editor-in-Chief Josh Topolsky will be leaving Engadget. Although Josh Topolsky didn't give a reason many speculate it's because of AOL's persistent to increase hits and generate ad revenue. This was the same reason that Engadget editor's Paul Miller and Ross Miller also left.

Rumor Apple iPad 2 Event March 2nd

All Things Digital is proclaiming that the iPad 2 event will happen March 2nd. The venue is likely Yerba Buena Center for the Arts. This is of course just a rumor at this point.
