Hongkong Vacay Recap: Day 2

We only have one itinerary for the day: Disneyland! This is my 5th time to go to a Disney park and even if the Hongkong version is way smaller than the one in California and Florida, I knew that I would still have a grand time. It was Roland's and Joel's first time and they were pretty excited too. We waited for Ochie to attend her church thing (meant more sleeping time for me!) and by 10am, we were on our way.

After 3 train rides, we finally found ourselves in the happiest place on earth :)

As we walked towards the middle of Main Street, it so happened that Mickey and Minnie were out for photo ops so we didn't pass up the chance. We immediately lined up and good timing indeed as we were the last group allowed for the morning's schedule. We had to wait in line for about an hour but it was worth it!

It was already noon by the time we finished with Mickey and Minnie so lunch was our next stop. We wanted to catch as much shows as we can so we were down to a tight schedule. After a quick lunch of dimsum at the Royal Banquet Hall, we were just in time for the next showing of The Festival of the Lion King. We kinda got stressed though (especially Roland!) from all the 'thundercats'! Ibang level ang singit powers! As if the seats will run out! But once we were settled in, we just sat back, relaxed and enjoyed the show.
Right on time, the Let It Snow Parade was up next. We headed back to Main Street and got ourselves good seats right in front for the best view of the parade. There were some 'thundercats' again who tried to get the spot we've saved but we didn't budge. Hehehe. This was my first time to see the Christmas parade (I've gone previously during Spring, Summer and Fall) and it was an added treat to have 'snow' fall down Main Street.
Time flies fast! It was already 4pm by the time the parade ended. Sharon, Joel and Roland wanted to watch more shows but since I've already seen them and Ochie wasn't really up for it, we opted to stay behind and do some shopping instead. We just decided to all meet up again in Main Street by 6pm, giving us just enough time to go through all the stores and shop to our heart's content. Hihihi.

After shopping, we still had about an hour to spare before meeting up with the others so we headed to the It's A Small World ride. Ochie wasn't able to try this on her first trip several years ago so it was really a must.

After the ride, we still had a couple of minutes - just enough for us to grab a quick snack of Smoked Turkey Legs and Mickey Mouse Waffles :)
It was already nighttime when we finally met up with the others (they were able to see the Philharmagic and Golden Mickeys shows). We waited for them while they did some quick shopping before heading to the castle for the fireworks.

By this time, we were already pretty tired from walking the entire day. With still about an hour before the fireworks, we decided to head there anyway, get a good spot and rest our tired feet. Good thing that we were early since there were a lot of people already. But we were still able to get seats right in front, giving us the perfect view of the castle.

It was yet another tiring but definitely fun-filled and magical day. Even if I go to Disneyland over and over again, I'll never get tired of it and still have that same feeling of awe. It's great being a kid again in the happiest place on earth :)
