Girls' Weekend Out

Back in highschool, Cristy, Hazel, Scusi and I were an inseparable bunch. We went to and from school together, had lunch together (except for Hazel who was a batch higher than us), spent weekends and vacations together, burned the phone lines every night, exchanged letters and kept each other updated on each other's lives regularly...we're pretty much in touch 24/7!

But that changed when we got to college. We pretty much went our separate ways with Hazel in UST, Cristy in UA&P, and Scusi and me in DLSU (though we never really saw each other much since we were in separate courses and had different schedules). We saw each other seldomly but we still try to keep in touch and in those rare times that we do see each other, it's as if nothing has changed.

Those 'seldom' meet ups eventually turned to 'rarely' when we graduated and started working. Cristy migrated to the US, I was busy as hell at Accenture and eventually got assigned in the US several times as well, Scusi got a job in South Carolina and Hazel got married. We still saw each other but not as a group anymore. I somehow managed to see Cristy regularly though...I make it a point to visit her in LA once or twice a year especially when I'm in Minneapolis. Then in 2008, Scusi, Cristy and I all met up in LA and spent a week together.

This time around, after 6 years since she left, Cristy finally came home to Manila for the holidays. Of course, we can't not meet up with Hazel (too bad Scusi was still in the US) so we've set a weekend at Eastwood all to ourselves. And it was really just like old times, as if no time has passed...girls' weekend out it is!
We had lunch at Momo...
Shopping at Eastwood Mall...
Met up with Cat and Rizzie at Dairy Queen...
Photo-op at the condo...
More photo-op at the Eastwood open park...
Had dinner at Mr. Kurosawa...
Headed to Jack's Loft for dessert and drinks...
Then had brunch at Heaven and Eggs the next day...
Talk about food tripping and chika galore! It was indeed an awesome weekend and we're looking forward to the day when all 4 of us will finally be together. 'Til the next reunion! :)
