A quick glance back at 2009...

Where did you begin 2009? At home...my dad got confined at Asian on December 30 and we were already set to spend New Year's at the hospital but thank God, he got discharged just a few hours before midnight.

What was your status by Valentine's day? Taken and loving it! :) Lec and I have been together for about 2 years already however we had to spend v-day apart...this time I was in Minneapolis while he was in Manila. But we still made each other's day special as I came home to a beautiful bouquet of pink flowers while he got one of his fave perfumes (with the help of my good friend Ochie :)). My roomie and I spent Valentine's night at the Rimandos along with the downtown 'singles'.

Were you in school anytime this year? Nope!

Did you have to go to the hospital? No...I was in Minneapolis already but it was not a good year for the family as my dad was in and out of Asian and Makati Med almost every month :(

Did you gain or lose weight? Both! Gained some when I got to Minneapolis, lost some by the time I got home but gained again over the holidays! Hahaha. Must diet!!!

What food did you get to eat the most? Sushi! I think we were at Benihana almost every week for the first half of the year and were frequent customers of the sushi place along the skyway for lunch. Hahaha.

What alcoholic beverage did you get to drink the most? Martini, Vodka, Tequila, Red Wine and Beer (only during happy hour)

What was the best thing someone ever did for you this year? Being on my side, holding my hand tight and never letting go, as I cried buckets of tears when I got to my dad's wake straight from Minneapolis. I haven't slept for about 2 days and Lec was there to meet me at the airport...it's the sweetest and yet saddest day ever.

What movie was your favorite this year? Lots! My roomie and I were either at Block E or Southdale almost every week to catch the latest flick. But my fave would have to be Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. It's my first movie with Lec since I got back and our first 'date' for 2009!

Where did you go for vacation? New Jersey/New York to visit my cousins, Chicago for Memorial Day Weekend, California to visit my good friend Cristy and on the local front, Cebu to attend my cousin's wedding and Boracay to kick off the holidays :)

What did you purchase that was over $100? Bags! Lots of Coach bags (hihihi) and my Kindle. Do airline tickets count? Had lots of those as well.

Made any new friends? Yup!

Other than home, where did you spend most of your time? Symphony Place, Oracle office, MOA, Albertville and St. Louis Park when I was in Minneapolis...Cybergate, Alabang Town Center, Eastwood, Greenbelt here in Manila.

Did you know anyone who got married? Yup! 2 of my cousins, lots of highschool classmates, a couple of officemates...

Anybody who passed away? My dad :(

Have you had any regrets? Wish I could have said goodbye...

Have you watched American Idol? Yup! Fox 9 is a constant on our TV (aside from Food Network) and we make sure that we're back at the apartment for AI. Hahaha.

Have you gotten sick? Just a slight flu. Nothing serious...thank God!

Describe your birthday? Spent my pre-birthday with my friends and Lec...was in Minneapolis on my actual birthday - went to work, had lunch at Applebees with the pinoys at the Oracle office and had my birthday dinner at Salut with Fro and Ros :)

Your favorite moments? Impromptu shopping trips to Albertville, Friday night outs, date nights with Lec...

Done anything embarrassing? That fateful night at Drink! Wahahaha!

New additions to your family? Caitlin, my cousin's daughter.

What was your best month? Not really best but unforgettable...it would be June - I got back home to Manila but it was because my dad passed away....

How old did you turn this year? 27

Do you have a New Year's Resolution? live...laugh...love :)
