California Reunion

This is the 3rd year in a row that I flew to California to visit Cristy and so far, this is my most relaxing trip ever. This time around, our weekend plans were pretty simple. Just hangout, go to the beach, do some shopping then go out at night for drinks. But as always, we sure had fun, fun, fun!

I got in at around 9pm on Friday and it took me about half an hour to get my luggage and finally meet up with Cristy and Shane. Since we all haven't had dinner yet, we headed to Manna for eat-all-you-can Korean barbeque and I must say that it was really worth it! Yummy! This is the first time that I had such and it was really good (though di pa rin kami friends ni kimchi...hehehe). I wonder if there's a similar place in Manila...

Cristy just moved to the Valley and it was already past midnight when we finally got home. Of course, we still stayed up for a few hours to catch up and it was not until around 2am when we finally called it a night. The next day, we headed to Malibu to just relax by the beach. The weather was really great (good thing the forecast of slight rain and a cloudy day didn't come true!). Too bad we didn't bring our swimsuits but the water was pretty cold anyway so hanging out and watching the waves by the shore was good enough.

Then off to the Camarillo Premium Outlets for some shopping! And shopping heaven it is! Let's just say that good thing I only brought a small carry on luggage coz if not, I might have been bankrupt already by the time I got back to Minneapolis. Hahaha.

After a tiring but very fulfilling afternoon, we rested for a bit before heading to Downtown Burbank for drinks. We met up with Vince and Egbert at the Burbank Bar and Grill and just hungout til closing time.

We woke up at around 10am already on Sunday. Since my flight back to the Twin Cities was at 5:30pm, we didn't have much plans for the day but just to hear mass and have chicken joy for lunch. Yes, Jollibee it is! I have to admit, I really missed it! Hahaha.

How I wish the weekend was longer. As much as I didn't wanna leave yet, I had to go back to work and face reality. Hehehe. Thanks, Cristy and Shane! It was again a very memorable weekend. Til next time!
