Saturday night, we found ourselves at Carver for another one of those Bastard's party. Knowing how such parties usually end, we prepared ourselves. We didn't need to be warned to have just 1 don't since my roomie and I had first hand experiences already on what it can do to you.
As expected, Dave was such a great host, always making sure that everyone was having fun and most importantly, that you had a drink at hand. Hahaha. We were served our fix of don't and we were smart enough to take it really slow - and made sure that there wouldn't be any seconds. But as soon as we finished it (which was about an hour after it was handed to us), Dave had glasses of Pear Martinis waiting for us already. Funny side story - it was quite noisy down at the basement, with Rock Bank (or was it Guitar Hero?) playing at full blast, when Dave said that he's preparing another drink for us. All we heard was something-tini and Ros and I were like 'masarap yun...'tini daw eh!'. Hahaha. And in fairness, it was really good!
The only downside to the party - there was no food! Waaaah. Drink 'til you drop talaga sya. We were so tempted to sneak out to our car where we had a can of mixed nuts. Hahaha. Unable to take it anymore, we told our 'daddy' that we were really hungry already. In fairness, he raided Dave's fridge and made us some roast beef and ham sandwiches. But we were still hungry and sensing that we won't stop bothering him until we get some decent food, he was kind enough to order some pizzas. Yey!
With our bellies finally full, we headed back downstairs where the rest of the folks are. We were handed a fresh glass of cocktail even before we could take our seats. Ros took her turn at Rock Band while I stayed behind by the bar, chatting with Dave and someone else (sorry, forgot his name!). Bad move for me coz Dave suddenly came up with the idea of having a tequila tasting. Before I could even protest, he was already pouring shots and lining up the glasses in front of me. How can I resist?!
Next thing I know, I was all hyper and giddy all over which only means one thing. Hahaha. I lost track of time and I had no idea what time we finally left - but it was definitely early morning already. Good thing 'mommy' was sober enough to drive us all back. It sure was one hell of a night and I'm glad we had the chance to experience it one last (?) time. You can never go wrong at the bastard's party! :)
