Friday Night with the Girls

Carrie. Charlotte. Miranda. Samantha. The girls are back! Armed with my fix of Taters' sour cream popcorn with butter and a bag of milk and dark chocolate malt balls (my movie must-haves!), I ended my work week with the last full show of Sex and the City 2. I've heard mixed reviews prior to watching it, and mostly I've heard that the sequel is a big disappointment. But what the heck, I so needed a feel-good chick flick after the stressful week that I've had.

I have to agree though that the first one was way better. It dealt with more serious issues and focused on each of the girls' relationships. Not that the sequel was really bad, but it was pretty shallow and it was just all about the girls having a vacation in Abu Dhabi. I was expecting the men in their lives to play a bigger role but their appearances were very limited (except for Mr.Big). I wish there was something more to the story of Samantha and Smith! Aidan also left me wanting for more. It was just bitin leaving it as that.

But the fashion was still amazing and the sights of Abu Dhabi (technically, it was Morocco) was breathtaking! There were also a lot of good laughs and may it be in New York or in the Middle East, the girls are just as fabulous as can be.

If there's gonna be a third movie, I hope it could redeem the magic of the first one but nevertheless, I'll surely be watching it :)
