1880

My new office address for the past 4 days is now at 1880 Eastwood City. CBTs aside (my gad, talk about boring!), there are actually a lot of nice things about being on bench in this new location...
  • I'm just on an 8-hour workday. I usually come in at around 8-8:30 am which means I can already go home by 5-5:30. It has been quite some time since I last went home with the sun still shining.
  • No stress. I'm still enjoying my stress-free days. The most stress I get is deciding which CBTs to take for the next 6 hours (we get to charge 2 hours doing 'admin' work). Hahaha.
  • Big pantry area. I like the pantry in this building. It's almost the same as the one at the Oracle office in Minneapolis...lots of tables, big space, lots of windows. A far cry from the tiny space at the end of the hallways back in Cybergate.
  • Safer elevators. Sorry, but the elevators in CG2 are just scary! It will literally eat you alive. Here, the elevators are 'normal' - it opens up at the slightest detection that there's someone between the doors. There's also no blockbuster lines! The hallways are spacious as well.
  • Coffee break options. Aside from Starbucks just a couple of steps away at the ground floor, there's also Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf! A welcome walk especially when I'm almost close to falling asleep from all the CBTs!
  • Condo just a tumbling away. Need I say more? I literally just have to cross the street to get to our condo. Lunch break means watching TV (usually catching the rerun of Ellen), taking a power nap and eating a home-cooked meal care of my mom who makes me my lunch baon.
  • Fullybooked. Ok, I think this is more of a disadvantage. Lots of new books just a few steps away is indeed a temptation! So far, I haven't given in yet but I'm already eyeing 2 books...if they're still there tomorrow, it's a sign for me to get them!
  • Dessert options. To satisfy my sweet tooth, there's Yoghurt Froz and Red Mango for some healthy sweet fix. Mrs. Fields is also not far away for some freshly baked chocolate chip cookies.
  • Food trip. If I'm craving for Japanese, there's Mr. Kurosawa (perfect for Fridays since I observe abstinence during Lent). For Thai, My Thai it is. Cyma is a no-brainer to satisfy my Greek/Mediterranean cravings. Want something italian? Italianni's and Cibo are at the 2nd floor! And there's so much more! On a downside, these doesn't come cheap. But there's actually a new food court which just opened but I haven't checked it out yet.

See, it ain't that bad. I actually like this location better than CG2. Not to mention that even if it's farther from my place in Las Pinas, my travel time is much less since I take C5 instead of EDSA. I get to the office in just about 40-45 minutes (compared when going to CG2 which takes me about an hour to an hour and a half) - and I leave the house the same time as before.

I guess I can still bear with the CBTs a little more...hahaha :)
