My dad should have been 65 today. It has been tradition that we hold a big party for the entire Viloria family on his birthday...this is one of those rare moments aside from Christmas that everyone gets together - not an easy feat given that he has 7 other siblings here in Manila (the other 2 are in the US). It has been 2 years since we last celebrated his birthday with him around, but we haven't stopped that tradition. With Tito Benny in town (the eldest of 10 who lives in New Jersey), the more that we should get together and remember my dad. It so happens that it's Tito Jimmy's 9th day (he passed away last week which is why Tito Ben is here) as well on Sunday so we've decided to make it a joint event. It's quite sad that the whole family is getting together to remember those who have passed away, but I'm sure that my dad wouldn't have it any other way...Happy birthday, papa! We miss you!
