foodie fail: red velvet


So much for satisfying my craving for the perfect red velvet cake. I was finally able to try the one from Starbucks but I was so disappointed. I've read some reviews on this and I would have to agree - it's way too sweet! The frosting is supposed to be cream cheese-based but all I tasted was sweet icing. No hint of the tartness of the cream cheese at all! The cake though was really moist but it didn't come to par with how I imagined it to be. Nothing still beats the ones I've had at Cheesecake Factory and the Coral Tree. I hope I can find one as good as those locally!
