just in time!

I was very disappointed last week when the boxset of the Sookie Stackhouse series went out of stock. I just left the item in my cart in the hopes that it will be available again. I've been checking it everyday but the 'Temporarily out of stock' note was still there. Then just the other day, the item wasn't listed as sold by Amazon anymore. More sadness. There were actually a couple of 3rd party vendors selling it for about $15 cheaper but I'm OC and I don't want to buy from others (trauma from the fraudulent seller I encountered in Ebay a few years back!). I was about to remove the boxset from my cart (torture to see it but can't buy it!), thinking that Amazon won't carry it anymore, but I somehow still had hope that it will come back so I gave myself a few more days before giving up on it.

And good thing I kept it there! I was about to shutdown my lappy already and out of habit, I checked Amazon again for the last time before turning it off and to my surprise, the note 'In Stock. Only 2 left in stock - order soon.' was suddenly displayed right next to the boxset! I did a double take to make sure that I was seeing right and in just a few seconds, check out it is! I won't pass up on this again.

So there. I finally have my Sookie Stackhouse boxset! I'm excited to see the books lined up in my shelf - I still have time to figure out where to put it. I just checked now (about 10 minutes after I bought it) and the box set is again out of stock. Good thing I got it just in time! :)
