September

At this very same day a year ago, Ochie, Ros, Robert, Mike (?) and I were at Pepper Lunch in Shang when the much-awaited salary letter came out. Only Ros was successful to access it thru her phone while all of us were getting an error in the MCLA site. Much to my frustration, it took me about an hour before I was finally able to see the letter. Everyone had their hopes up, with some being satisfied while the others were disappointed (which really isn't a surprise). And now, this is the first time after almost 9 years that I'm not stressed on the first day of September! I can just imagine what my ex-officemates are feeling today. All I can say is, I'm glad I'm not there anymore! Hahaha.

Time really flies fast...it's already September and it doesn't even feel like we've been in our new job for 3 months already! Seems very recent when we were just talking about this big change and now, we're pretty much settled already. It also means that Christmas is just around the corner! I heard the first Christmas song on TV awhile ago and soon enough, red and green will be all over, with Christmas trees and all kinds of decorations popping up in the malls.

I have a lot of things to look forward to in the coming months...there's my US vacation, Cristy's wedding, the Singapore trip with my travel buddies, my weekend in Indonesia to attend my other best friend's wedding (oh yes, it's the wedding year!) and of course the holidays! My travel goal for this year is definitely a big check!

I'm pretty sure the next months will just pass by quickly. And with only a few months left before the year ends, I'll make sure that I make the most out of 2011. So far so good, and with what's up ahead, this will be a good year for me ;)
