I was so excited when I got this in the mail:
This is the first time that the Coach Factory will have an online sale! From experience, the factory prices are such good deals and the markdowns are insane. So I was set to shop 'til I drop. When I got the official invite when the store opened online (the sale was by invitation only), I immediately checked it out and picked a few pieces right away. After narrowing it down to 3 bags (I'm getting another LV next month so I can't go overboard just yet!) which only cost about $300 (that's almost $600 savings!), I was set to checkout. The online store only accepts US credit cards so I had to place my order over the phone, like what I usually do. But to my major disappointment, I was told that since this is a factory sale, I had to place my order ONLINE to avail of the discounted price. Waaaaah! :( So bottomline, I wasn't able to buy the bags :( I guess it's not meant to be for now. But somehow, I guess this is a good thing anyway since I'll be making some major purchases in the coming months (hello Speedy 30 and Macbook Air!). Better save up for those instead!
But not to be let down by my bag shopping failure, I go for the next best thing where international credit cards are no issue - Amazon! I got hardbound copies of books 1-4 of Michael Scott's Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel Series. The covers are just so pretty! It's hard to find the hardbound ones of all the books here and the ones available are expensive! They cost about P700 here...I was able to get them from Amazon for only P500.
I also got a hardbound copy of Stephanie Perkins' Anna and the French Kiss.
I have an ebook version of this already but I loved it so I want to have an actual copy of the book. This has been released a couple of months ago but so far, it still hasn't made it to the local bookstores.
It's not a shopping-fail day after all! :)
