It was a long over due dinner date and after several weeks of pushing it back, we finally made it. Roland, Ochie, Ros and I got together for a relaxing, chika-filled evening. Dinner was at Mesa...

The Boneless Crispy Pata was a must...

We also got some Baked Mussels with Cheese, Garlic Chicken, Stuffed Giant Squid and the Sisig Rice and Bagoong Rice (Roland insisted on having 2 bowls rice!). We paired them with some frozen margaritas which was just perfect as we caught up with each other and shared the latest chikas.

We quickly passed by Fullybooked before getting dessert but unfortunately, there were no new books that interested Ochie and me. It was Max Brenner to cap the night off and we got this sinful concoction - the Chocolate Pizza with a Crunch:

Imagine a thin crust pizza, smothered with melted Max Brenner chocolate as the 'sauce', then generously topped with marshmallows, rice krispies and nips (it was supposed to be nestle crunch I think but they ran out of it so they put nips instead - I know, hindi man lang M&Ms! But it was good nonetheless), then drizzled again with melted chocolate. Death by chocolate it is! It was really yummy but I was only able to have 1 slice. The chocolate was just too much!

More chika again as we finished off our dessert. Roland was kind enough to treat us to both dinner and dessert! It was really a great night with good friends, good food and good conversation. 'Til our next dinner date! :)
