another great episode of Grey's

I was only able to watch last week's episode of Grey's Anatomy today and they did it again. It just really keeps getting better and better. What I like about this show is that it just doesn't focus on the medical drama. Each character has their own story and I love how they build it up in each episode and surprise you with a new twist.

This time around, I liked how they showed Karev's and Starck's 'soft' side. Karev is often portrayed as a jerk who doesn't give a damn, but he always had a soft spot for kids which makes him great in Pediatrics. In this episode, I admired his passion in making his 'project' for the running as chief resident come to life. He may have been arrogant when he asked the old, dying lady for the money but his determination was unwavering even if he knew that he didn't have any funds. And when the kids from Africa finally arrived, his care for them was genuine and everybody pitched in and welcomed their guests with open arms. That part was one of my favorites!

As for Starck, I didn't like him from day 1. He was effective in showing the doctor-from-hell attitude and making him the Pediatrics attending makes you hate him even more...those poor kids! He acts as if he doesn't care at all and he doesn't listen when one of the residents have a suggestion. But this time, he showed his compassionate side when he operated on baby Sofia. He was so gentle and showed true care for the baby. He was even considerate to have Arizona in the operating room. Awwww...he has a heart all along!

The rest of the episode focused on Callie's recovery. I still don't like Arizona for her (I prefer Sloan!) but it seems they'd really stick it out. Oh well! Can't wait for the next episode. I heard there will be wedding bells!
