As most of you know, I don't watch tagalog flicks on the big screen. I'd usually just catch them on Cinema One or I'd borrow a DVD from someone. When My Amnesia Girl came out, I heard rave reviews about it. And since I liked John Lloyd's A Very Special Love (yes, we even had one of our friends bring a copy of this all the way to Minnesota!), I wanted to see this movie myself. Good thing Ochie had a DVD of it! I actually had the movie with me for months but I never found the time to watch it until last night (the joys of unemployment!).
In fairness, kilig sya ha! The pick up lines were just so corny yet the way they delivered it made it funny and kilig at the same time. I was laughing by myself in the middle of the night and I just had to share it with someone that I ended up texting Ochie all throughout the movie though I knew that she was already asleep. Hahaha!
I liked the part where Apollo (John Lloyd) threw Irene (Toni) a surprise birthday party and went back to her first birthday and each year until her 27th to make her remember how it was. And the scene where Apollo literally covered Irene's house with post-its filled up with sweet nothings. Ang daming post-its nun ah!
All in all it was a nice movie that would make you realize that second chances don't come often and when it does, you better hold on to it and not give it up again :)
