exag!

With my latest hobby, I checked out Rustan's earlier to see which Lego sets are available in the local market. I knew that Lego is expensive here in Manila but didn't realize how far off it is from the US price. Exag sobra! I was pleased to see 2 of the sets I've been eyeing but upon seeing the prices here, no thank you!

One of the sets I intend to get is the Medieval Castle Market Village:

It's only $99.99 in Amazon which is about P4500. But guess how much it sells at Rustan's - P11,000!!! That's more than double the original price! Grabe!

Another set I saw was the Winter Toy Shop:
This is only $59.54 in Amazon which is only about P2600. How much is it here? Around P6000! Again, more than double!

I understand that prices of imported stuff are obviously more expensive here but this is just insane! I'll definitely won't be buying any Lego sets here. Thanks to Amazon and POBox.ph, we are able to buy stuff from the US at very reasonable shipping costs. We only have to wait for about month though, but that's nothing compared to what we are able to save.
