I'm getting the hang out of doing nothing! For the past week, my typical day would start at around 9am - with the little one usually waking me up. As soon as he sees that I'm up, he brings his toys in my room and takes over the TV. I would then check my mail and FB to see if there's anything new, then start downloading the shows from the previous day (Desperate Housewives on Monday, Gossip Girl and Make it or Break It on Tuesday, Glee on Wednesday and Grey's Anatomy on Friday). I would then catch up on my reading until noon, just in time for lunch (I still don't take breakfast), while watching Blues Clues or Disney Playhouse in between (again, Gabby has the remote!).
After lunch, the little one usually takes his nap so I have the TV for about an hour or two. I take this time to watch Ellen or Oprah. If I'm lucky and he sleeps longer, I get to watch reruns of old school classics such as Small Wonder, Doogie Howser MD and Dharma and Greg on 2nd Avenue. When it's not so hot outside anymore, I then go to the mall (either SM or Town) for some shopping or to simply cool down. After dinner, I'd play with the little one until his bedtime (or until his Mommy and Daddy comes home), then I go back to reading and watching TV until I get sleepy which is at around 1am.
Not thinking about work or anything stressful for that matter is indeed a welcome change! This is a much needed rest. I still have a couple more days to recharge before I start on a new adventure. In the meantime, I'm simply enjoying being a bum! :)
