As a belated Mother's Day gift, I treated my mom to an overnight stay at the Marriott Hotel in Resorts World. They were offering a Kaos package which included 2 Deluxe tickets to the show which was just perfect! It was my first time to go to Resorts World so I was pretty excited to the weekend of just rest and relaxation. My brother joined us later in the evening, then my sis, brother-in-law and the little one followed the next day. I must say that the overnight stay was worth it.
We checked in at the Marriot Hotel early Friday afternoon...
and an ice cream station with about 10 flavors of gelato with your choice of toppings - chocolate syrup, crushed nuts, chocolate chips and marshmallows!
After our scrumptious dinner, my mom and I headed to the Newport Theater to catch the 9pm show of Kaos. This is worth seeing! The sets, props and costumes are really amazing and the acrobatic acts were just, wow! I personally didn't like the actors that much - since this is a musical circus show, the singing parts were just so-so. But nevertheless, the rest of the acts were impressive and it was a great show.
My personal favorites were the acrobatic act where the performers seemed like as if they were flying...
the Time Machine act...
when Sito the white tiger and Kaos the white lion appeared...
Mr. Abs 1 and Mr. Abs 2 - I'm sure my good friend Ochie will love this part!
and of course the finale act with the cyclists in this big sphere cage...
I didn't even realize that the show was 2 hours long. It was very entertaining. Good thing I was able to see this before it ends by the end of the month!
After the show, my brother and I went out again to go bar hopping until about 2am...
The next day, we had the breakfast buffet at the Marriott Cafe...
Then lunch at Passion - one of the best authentic Chinese cuisines I've tried! I loved their pecking duck with plum sauce...yum!
We passed by SM Makati on the way home since there was this Transformers exhibition thing and the little one is just a fan of Optimus Prime and the rest of the autobots. He was really thrilled to see life-size models of the Transformers! We checked in at the Marriot Hotel early Friday afternoon...
After our afternoon nap, we went around the Newport Mall...
Dinner was the Ocean's Surf buffet at the Marriott Cafe. I highly reccommend this especially for those who love seafood! There was just an abundance of shrimp, crabs, lobster, salmon and other seafood delights cooked in all ways imaginable. I just went for the seafood and wasn't able to try anything anymore from the italian, indian and chinese stations...
The dessert station was another story. There were lots of cakes and pastries, chocolate fondue with fruits, marshmallows, brownies and cakes...and an ice cream station with about 10 flavors of gelato with your choice of toppings - chocolate syrup, crushed nuts, chocolate chips and marshmallows!
