Halloween 2011: The Oracle Way

It's our first halloween at Oracle and for this year's activity, we had to dress up one of our team member's in any costume or theme of our choice - no limits! We didn't give much thought to this but we later learned that this event is really taken seriously by the other teams and not wanting to be left behind, we pulled in all our creative juices and came up with a costume for our 'mascot' who happens to be Joel - he really had no choice :p

Everything was very last minute (we just decided on what we will be doing 2 days before the event!) and it was only yesterday when we did some last minute shopping at Market Market for the materials, props and what not. It was a pretty busy day today as we assembled Joel's costume...

The transformation about half an hour before the judging...

And the finished product:

We were finally able to have our first almost-complete team picture...the ones missing were Lyn (she's still out sick), and Lawrence and Bern who were at the conference rooms for the halloween activities for the kids:

Not bad given that we only had 1 day to prepare for this. We didn't win but we were happy nonetheless. Our first RGBU (Retail Global Business Unit) activity was a success and we vow to go all the way next year.

Happy Halloween! :)
