last day in California

My flight to the Twin Cities is not until 6pm so we pretty much have the entire day to still go around. We decided to spend the day in Los Angeles so that we would be close to the airport already. We were supposed to have lunch at Boiling Crab (shrimps this time!) but unfortunately, it opens not until 3pm on weekdays :(

So instead, we headed to Umami for some designer burgers. This is my first time to try it out so why not!

There were a lot to choose from and everything looked good...

I decided to get the Truffle Burger - perfectly grilled kobe beef burger and topped with just truffle cheese and truffle glaze. No frills, no veggies, no other condiments . And it was really good!

Shane got the Maui Burger...

While Cristy just got the Chinese Chicken Salad since she wasn't up for burgers...

We also got some Tempura Onion Rings and Sweet Potato Fries for our sides.

I love how old-school the drinks were - all served in bottles.

The burgers were quite pricey though for its size (it was just right for me) but it's worth trying if you like burgers and want to have something different.

With just about 2 hours left before I needed to be at the airport, we headed to Century City to kill time and do some window shopping.

We capped the afternoon with dessert at Pinkberry. I love frozen yogurt and so far, this is the best! I got the watermelon one topped with strawberries and mangoes. I liked that the yogurt wasn't a bit sour at all. Yum!

I got to the airport by 4:30pm, just enough time to catch my flight. With the 3-hour flight and time difference, I'll get to the Twin Cities by midnight already. I'm on to the last leg of my trip and I'm pretty sure it will be a blast.

Next stop: Minnesota! :)
