It's my last day in the Twin Cities and Fro planned the night with drinks, food and dancing with our good friends. I had to take care of some last minute shopping at Ridgedale during the day and made a quick trip to Target to get my extra luggage. Knowing that we'll get back from our night out really late already (or very early in the morning!), I already packed my stuff before heading out for the night.
The fun started with happy hour at The Newsroom...I can't leave without my fix of martinis!
Of course, my first drink of choice is my fave - the Black and White martini!
Alisa and her husband Jeff joined us just after a few minutes when we got there and it's so good to see them! There were lots of catching up and I ended up getting a second drink which I later on regretted...
I was surprised that I got tipsy already on that second martini then I remembered that I haven't eaten anything the whole day (except for some Orange Dream Machine from Jamba) and I think that's what got me so easily. I wasn't feeling so good afterwards but I still managed to walk all the way to our next stop for dinner...
This time, we were joined by Scott, Pete and Georgiana. Alisa and Jeff didn't stay for dinner though. It was also Mommy's birthday in 2 days so Fro and I took care of his dinner (advanced happy birthday, Mommy!). And of course, our Fogo experience wouldn't be complete without some Caipirinha!
I was only able to finish half of it though since I wasn't still feeling so good from happy hour. But all in all, it was a good dinner with my Minneapolis family - Daddy, Mommy, Uncle Pete and Aunt Georgie...I was indeed one happy daughter! :)
Fro wanted to hit Drink afterwards but I wasn't really up for it anymore (I admit, I'm getting old...I'm not so keen anymore in getting wasted!) so we decided to just all meet at Fro's place and hangout. We were getting a ride with Pete and he gave us a quick tour of his downtown office (it was pretty cool!) before heading to his car. We got sidetracked though...Pete suggested that we check out The Lounge instead since I didn't want to go to Drink. What the heck, it's my last night so let's do this! Scott was already on his way to Fro's by then and he passed up when we told him where we were at.
So it was just us 3 at The Lounge and in fairness, I was glad that they insisted on it. I really had a great time dancing the night away (sans alcohol...I already had enough for the night!) and it was indeed the best way to spend my last night.
We got home at around 1am already and as I headed to bed, I wished I didn't have to go home just yet...
