Normalcy is slowly starting to return to my sleeping time. I forced myself to stay up 'til midnight last night and I woke up at 6am today! Well, not really normal yet given it's a weekend but it's a big improvement from waking up at 2 or 3am.
Everyone at home had plans for the day (my sis and her family were going on a day trip to Iloilo, my mom had a wedding to attend to in the afternoon and my brother had to work) and not wanting to be left home alone, I asked to be dropped off at the condo where I'll later on meet up with my brother, then we'd pick up my mom from the reception later that night.
I was set to just relax and pamper myself with a nice foot spa, mani and pedi but my brother's girlfriend, Jem, wanted to have her nails done as well so we decided that I'd wait for them to return from the site. We were able to coax my brother to join us at the nail spa as well where he had one of the 'for boys only' treatment thingy. After an hour and a half, I was happy with my pink nails:
Jem and I promised to have our nails done with some Christmas nail art by early December - they have these really cute candy canes, snowman and snowflake designs. I've always gone for the plain solid color for my nails but what the heck, it's the holidays and it wouldn't hurt to spruce it up a bit :)
We then headed to Greenbelt 5 for dinner at Chili's then made a quick stop at Sinfully by Makati Shangri-la to try their macarons - they were really very good for only P45 each (cheaper and better than the ones at Bar Dolci). I only had the chocolate one and it's worth coming back to try the other flavors next time.
Their cakes, chocolates and pastries seem promising as well! I'll definitely come back for these sinful creations...
We then picked up my mom at Blue Leaf in McKinley afterwards. It was a pretty good Saturday and I'm quite proud of myself that I didn't break my shopping ban considering that I was at 2 malls for the day :)
